Our Story
Founded by Nick Starling, an Iraq invasion war veteran, Starling had his lightbulb moment during his freshman year taking “Intro to Human Geography” at Hawaii Pacific University. A professor put up a map of America, pointed to the coasts and said, “This is where everybody lives,” and then pointed to the center and said, “And this is where we grow
our food.”
At Skyscraper Farm, we grow food near the people, for the people. We maximize nutrients and accessibility while minimizing waste, water usage, and pollution. We use natural sunlight to grow the most delicious produce that lands on your table within hours of harvest. We are Skyscraper Farm: everything a growing world needs.
With three building designs, Skyscraper Farm offers something for everyone:
- A four-story facility solely for growing
- A mid-rise farm built on top of grocery stores
- A 52-story skyscraper, including vertical farming, residential condos, commercial office space, and restaurants
